Established in 1981 by Yu Guangyuan, a well-known economist, China Society of Territorial Economists is a national corporation registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs and is part of the China Association of Science and Technology. Yu Guangyuan, Du Runsheng, Wang Xian and Zhang Huaixi, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, have successively served as the president of the Society.
