Jungfraubahn AG, known as Jungfrau Railway Holding AG was first founded in 1897. After more than 100 years of development, now it became a company consists of nine subsidiaries and is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

Since the Jungfrau region is famous for its nature beauty and ski area, the main activity of Jungfraubahn is to operates mountain excursion railways and winter sport facilities in the region. The customer is offered an adventure in the mountains and on the train. In order to satisfy all the customer needs, Jungfraubahn AG has around 1000 staffs to offer their services. The Jungfraubahn Group owns a share of over 60% of the Jungfrau Ski Region which includes the areas known as Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen, Grindelwald-First and Mürren-Schilthorn. Also Jungfraubahn invested in the destinations of Grindelwald-First – Top of Adventure, Harder Kulm – Top of Interlaken and Winteregg-Mürren – Top of Family, for adding them as a part of the Mountain Experience business segment and give customers more choices.

The main offer is the journey to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Due to the long-term development of a distribution and agency network, the Group has achieved a leading position in the Asian markets. In addition, it also operates its own hydroelectric plant, leases premises for restaurants to operate and sells complete holiday packages on its website in cooperation with partner companies.

Now the headquarter of Jungfraubahn is located in Interlaken, where to be called the “gate of Jungfrau region”. Interlaken tourism is also working close with Jungfraubahn, to offer the best service to customers from all over the world.
