TCBTA (Tajik Community Based Tourism Association) was established in 2014 as an Association of the commercial, non-profit and public organizations working in the sphere of tourism in the Republic of Tajikistan. The Association is promoting the development of the community based tourism in Tajikistan.
TCBTA is also building the capacities of the touristic organizations with the aim of the improved service quality, certification, networking and building the cooperation with the micro, small and medium tourism businesses (MSME CBT). The Association is governed by the General Assembly and led by the Chairman of the Board.
The Association is consisting of commercial organizations, public organizations, tourism regions assotiations, guest houses, hostels, etc. (with a total more of 500 members).
TCBTA is a partner of the Committee for tourism development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is also partner to USAID, IFC, ACTED
(including the international project 3ZeroHouse) programs.
TCBTA is a member of the National Council for Tourism Development chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan. The Association is actively
cooperating with the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, tourism associations of the SCO countries, European associations -ECEAT (Netherlands), EuroGites (European Federation of Rural Tourism), RuralTour (European Federation of Rural Tourism), ASR (German MSME Tourism Association), travel associations of Central Asian countries -KATO and KATOZ (Kyrgyzstan), APTO and Samarkand Tourism Forum (Uzbekistan ) and others, development partners -Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, IFC, USAID.
