Tourism College of Hunan Normal University is one of the earliest Higher Tourism Education units and the first unit entitled to train doctoral students on tourism culture in Hunan Province. since 1999, it has been offering one of the highest rated hospitality and tourism programs in Hunan, China and serving the tourism industry with high-quality managerial personnel. Each year over 400 undergraduate and graduate students from across China and around the world choose HNU for its outstanding reputation, advantageous locations, impressive faculty, rich curriculum, and fast-track career advantages in the hotel, food service, event and tourism industries. With Department of Tourism Management ,Department of Hospitality Management and Department of Event Management, the Tourism College has formed a multi-level education system, including full-time Ph.D., Master and Bachelor program and various other levels such as Certificate Program in various Hotel, Restaurant, Hospitality, Travel and Tourism specializations. The college has well-equipped multimedia rooms, video classroom, practice bases, documental center and so on. The college boasts itself 10 professors, 14 associate professors and 20 lecturers occupying the Institute of Tourism Research, Research Center of Exhibition, and Research Station of Tourism and Leisure. Above 80% of them has doctor degree and went abroad once or twice for visiting or further study. The faculty is well known and respected within their fields for experiences, skills and being at the forefront of research in tourism and hospitality, which is helpful for students in terms of seeking advice on careers or academic guidance. Academic exchange and cooperation with the colleagues in US, England and Australia have been established.
