After deliberation by the 2nd WTA Council, it is hereby announced that Zhang jiajie Municipal People’s Government、Lijiang Municipal People’s Government、Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway Co., Ltd、HCG International Travel Group co., Ltd、Wuxi Juna Hotels Group、Silk Road Samarkand Touristic Centre LLC、Zala Springs Golf Resort、Skyzone Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd、The Bicester Collection, totaling 9 units, officially became members of WTA from April 15, 2024.

According to Article 7 of Chapter 3 of the Membership Management Rules on Termination of Membership. After deliberation by the 2nd WTA Council, it is hereby announced that from April 15, 2024, the membership of Genting Hong Kong Limited、Ling Nan Eco & Culture-Tourism Co., Ltd.、HNA Aviation & Tourism、Okay Airways Company Limited、OYO Hotel Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will be terminated.

From March 5th to 7th, the "WTA Members' Day • Hainan 2024," themed "New Insights into Leisure Travel and Expenditure in 2024," was successfully held in Sanya. This premier event, orchestrated by the World Tourism Alliance and hosted by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province, with Airbnb as the supporting organization, witnessed the convergence of 70 distinguished guests.

Beijing, February 27 - The "Prospects of Tourism Promotion between China and Nepal," hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in China, was held in Beijing, aiming to foster tourism exchanges and cooperation between China and Nepal. The event saw the participation of over 80 representatives from 42 entities across travel agencies, tourism associations, airlines, hotels, and media from both nations.

On February 24th, the World Tourism Alliance (WTA) hosted a pivotal symposium at its Xianghu, Hangzhou headquarters to gather insights on the latest trends and dynamics in the tourism industry and market. This also served as a preparatory meeting for the upcoming release of the 'China Domestic Tourism Market Sentiment Report' for the first half of the year.
