1. Fosun Tourism Group Launches Urban Culture-and-Tourism Mall Brand "HiSphere"

On November 28, 2025, Fosun Tourism Group hosted its "Fosun Holiday Horizon 2026" conference at Atlantis Sanya, where it unveiled three core product lines: Super Resort, Super Resort Complex, and Super Culture-and-Tourism Mall.

At the event, Fosun officially introduced "HiSphere," the new brand under its Super Culture-and-Tourism Mall product line, and signed its first project, "Hi · Chongqing."

The project is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026.

Integrating cultural programming, entertainment, live performances, theme parks, retail, and dining, HiSphere is positioned as a reimagining of commercial space through a culture-and-tourism lens. The concept aims to allow commerce to develop organically within culture and tourism–driven scenarios, revitalizing existing urban spaces and creating a distinctive urban-based vacation lifestyle.

2. Free Admission to Lingyin Feilai Peak Scenic Area from December 1

According to the Notice on the Implementation of Free Admission to Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai Peak Scenic Area, the Lingyin Feilai Peak Scenic Area (including Lingyin Temple, Yongfu Temple, and Taoguang Temple) will implement a free-admission policy starting December 1, 2025. For better visitor flow management, two additional measures have been introduced on weekdays: a reservation-based parking system for tour buses, and shuttle transfer services for taxis, including both traditional cruising taxis and ride-hailing vehicles.

4. Tongcheng Travel Stimulates the 2025 Sichuan Winter Tourism Season

On the morning of December 8, the launch ceremony for the 2025 Sichuan Winter Tourism Season was held at the Qiangrengu Ski Resort in Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. As one of the program’s key partner platforms, Tongcheng Travel introduced its themed marketing campaign, "Winter Escapes into the Warmth of Sichuan," at the event, announcing that it will provide consumer incentives valued at more than RMB 10 million to stimulate winter tourism consumption across Sichuan.

5. Top 20 Chinese Tourism Groups in 2025 Released

The 2025 China Tourism Group Development Forum was held in Beijing from December 10 to 12, during which the China Tourism Academy released the list of Top 20 Chinese Tourism Groups in 2025. The list includes: China Tourism Group, OCT Group, Beijing Tourism Group, CYTS Tours Holdings, Jin Jiang International Holdings, Trip.com Group, Springtour International Travel Agency (Group), Hangzhou Commerce & Tourism Group, Fosun Tourism Group, H World Group, Nanjing Culture & Tourism Group, Tongcheng Travel Group, Zhejiang Tourism Investment Group, New Century Tourism Group, Fliggy Travel, Shandong Culture and Tourism Group, Hubei Cultural Tourism Group, Lingnan Group, Sichuan Tourism Investment Group, and Shaanxi Tourism Group.

6. Hainan Tourism Market Sees Strong Growth Momentum

On December 18, 2025, China launched an island-wide independent customs operation under the Hainan Free Trade Port. The introduction of more favorable zero-tariff policies for goods is expected to further boost Hainan’s appeal in winter escape tourism and shopping tourism markets.

Data from Tongcheng Travel show that as of December 10, hotel search interest for Sanya during the New Year holiday period increased by more than year-on-year. In terms of air travel demand, the top ten origin cities for flights to Sanya Phoenix International Airport are Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Harbin, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Changchun, and Jinan.

With improved inbound tourism facilitation following the customs operation, Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore, Melbourne, and Moscow are expected to become the top five overseas source markets for inbound tourism to Hainan via Sanya Phoenix International Airport between December 18 and December 31.

7. Hainan Launches "Nanyang Memories–A New Chapter for Hainan Free Trade Port" Tourism Promotion Series for Southeast Asian Chinese Communities

On December 5, the promotional series "Nanyang Memories–A New Chapter for Hainan Free Trade Port," designed to attract Southeast Asian Chinese and overseas Chinese to Hainan, was officially launched. The event is organized by the Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province, with support from Qunar.com. As a key initiative by Hainan to deepen the cultural and tourism development of its hometown for overseas Chinese and stimulate the inbound tourism market, the campaign precisely targets core groups such as Southeast Asian Hainanese overseas Chinese, the Z-generation Chinese, and high-net-worth overseas Chinese families. With "emotional connection as the bond, resource integration as the support, and targeted services as the core," the campaign presents the unique advantages of Hainan’s inbound tourism in a multi-dimensional and comprehensive manner. It injects strong impetus into the construction of Hainan as an international tourism and consumption center, fueling the recovery and growth of the inbound tourism market.
