World Tourism Alliance Joins Hand with Sanxingdui in “Exploring China” Activities

On May 28, the Information Office of the State Council of China, the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province jointly organized the “Sanxingdui Culture: A Threshold to Chinese Civilization” at the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan City, Sichuan to promote Chinese culture to the world. Over two hundred people attended this event, including Jiang Jianguo, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China; Gan Lin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee; Luo Qiang, Deputy Governor of Sichuan Province; Hu Bing, Deputy Director of the National Cultural Heritage Administration; representatives of relevant consulates in China, media reporters and people from all walks of life.

This event consisted of a promotion conference on the latest archaeological findings from the Sanxingdui ruins, the “Wonderful Night of Sanxingdui”, the release of key projects for the global reach of Sanxingdui culture, etc. The newly unearthed national treasure—“bronze figurine holding a zun vessel on the top of head” made its debut at the launching ceremony.

During the event, the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the CYTS jointly launched the “Exploring China·Exploring Sanxingdui Culture and Experiencing Product Design and Global Promotion” at the Sanxingdui Museum. This program aimed to attract more international tourists to Sanxingdui to explore Chinese culture, and bring Chinese civilization to the world.
