The 37th Joint Meeting of the UN Tourism Commission for East Asia and the Pacific and the UN Tourism Commission for South Asia (37th CAP-CSA) convened in Jakarta on April 15-16, 2025.

Beijing, April 21, 2025 – The Embassy of Nepal in China hosted the Nepal Food Festival 2025 in Beijing on Monday, drawing diplomats, government officials, and tourism industry leaders. The event featured a video address by Arzu Rana Deuba, Nepal's Minister of Foreign Affairs, while Krishna Prasad Oli, Nepal's Ambassador to China, delivered opening remarks.

On April 18, 2025, the International Travel Operators Conference of the 2025 Xi'an Silk Road International Tourism Expo was held at the Xi'an International Conference and Exhibition Center (XIANICEC). The event, hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Xi'an Qujiang New District Management Committee, attracted numerous industry leaders.

On April 7, 2025, the 2025 Gansu Silk Road International Travel Operators Conference opened in Lanzhou, Gansu. The event brought together prominent figures from the global tourism industry, including Mr. HE Xiaozu, Director of the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Mr. XU Peng, Vice Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), Mr. Marcel Reze, Vice Director of the International Development and Cooperation Department of the UN Tourism, Mr. LIU Weikang, President of the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association and Chairman of Confidence Holiday, and Ms. SUN Guizhen, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Association of Travel Services. These distinguished guests delivered opening remarks at the conference.

Hangzhou, April 2 – Mr. ZHANG Xu, Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), met with Minister of Tourism of Honduras YADIRA GOMEZ and her delegation at the WTA headquarters in Hangzhou. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral tourism cooperation.

Urumqi, March 22 – The 6th Spring Expo in Xinjiang opened in Urumqi, attracting a multitude of participants from both domestic and international tourism organizations.

The World Tourism Alliance (WTA) proudly announced the addition of 7 new members following approval at the 2nd WTA Council on March 21, 2025.

On January 17, the 2025 World Tourism Alliance (WTA) Annual Reception was held at the Beijing Genesis. The event brought together over 200 participants, including diplomatic envoys and tourism office representatives from nearly 30 countries, officials from relevant government departments, WTA members, media representatives, and tourism industry stakeholders.

On January 5, the 41st China Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival officially opened at Harbin Ice and Snow World, welcoming distinguished guests from across China and abroad to celebrate this spectacular winter event. Mr. XU Qin, Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress, announced the opening of the festival, while Ms. LIANG Huiling, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Heilongjiang Province, delivered a warm welcome speech.

On January 5, the Launching Ceremony of NIHAO! CHINA: China Ice & Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season 2025 and the Dream of Winter Global Promotional Campaign was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. The event was co-hosted by the Network of International Culturalink Entities and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province.
