Hundreds of mayors of tourism cities and guests gathered in Zhengzhou to offer advice and suggestions for promoting tourism cooperation among cities around the world and seeking common development of tourism in the future.

The International Mayor's Forum on Tourism - Zhengzhou, China has been successfully held for six times and has gradually developed into a forward-looking and influential tourism event in the global tourism industry. Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Henan Province, the forum featured "Market Prosperity, Technological Innovation to Improve Urban Tourism Competitiveness".

On April 16, the 2nd China Inbound Tourism Forum & Guizhou Inbound Tourism Promotion Event kicked off in Guiyang. Liu Shijun, Secretary-General of World Tourism Alliance (WTA), was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

WTA plans to visit its members and carry out a research in different places in 2021 to strengthen the daily communication between the members and WTA and learn about their expectations and requirements for WTA under the “new normal”. Recently, WTA Secretary-General Liu Shijun led the secretariat to visit some WTA members in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
