WTA Chair Mr. ZHANG Xu Attends the 2024 China Culture & Tourism Industries Exposition

From September 13 to 16, the 2024 China Culture & Tourism Industries Exposition (2024 CTIE) was held in Tianjin, with Mr. ZHANG Xu, Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), invited to the opening ceremony. The event included remarks by Mr. ZHANG Gong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and Mayor, and Mr. DU Jiang, Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China. During the opening ceremony, ZHANG Gong, DU Jiang, ZHANG Xu, HE Yafei, Vice Chair & Secretary-General of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance, CHEN Fukuan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, and FAN Yunjun, General Manager of China Tourism Group Corporation Limited, jointly launched the expo. Following the ceremony, the leaders toured the exhibition.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 2024 CTIE is themed “Experience New Culture and Tourism, Enjoy New Life”. The expo features nine main exhibition halls, covering an area of 150,000 square meters and showcasing over 2,000 cultural and tourism enterprises. The event highlights immersive experiences, smart tourism, and outdoor equipment, offering visitors a first-hand look at the integration of culture and tourism and the achievements of emerging cultural industries. The expo aims to drive the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
