WTA Attends 2024 Trip.com Group Global Partner Summit

On December 18, 2024, the Trip.com Group Global Partner Summit was successfully held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Mr. LIU Shijun, Vice Chair and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), and H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), attended the summit and delivered keynote speeches.

The summit featured a main forum and specialized sessions focusing on attractions and entertainment, accommodation, Biz Travel, airline partnerships, and marketing strategies. Over 2,000 participants, including representatives from international tourism boards, travel companies, government officials, and media organizations, joined the event. During the summit, LIU Shijun held discussions with H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Mr. LIANG Jianzhang, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Trip.com Group, and Ms. Jane SUN, CEO of Trip.com Group, along with other government officials and tourism leaders. These discussions focused on advancing bilateral tourism growth, enhancing international cooperation, and promoting global sustainable tourism development.
