On April 2-3, 2019, WTA Chairman Duan Qiang attended the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Leaders Dialogue and the 19th WTTC Global Summit in Seville, capital of the Andalusian autonomous community of Spain. During the event, Duan Qiang exchanged views on the topic of “the future and transformation of tourism industry” with representatives of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, the European Travel Commission and other international organizations, heads of national tourism departments and senior managers of tourism enterprises participating in the Dialogue. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and former US President Barack Obama attended the summit.
WTTC is one of the most influential business leaders forum in the global tourism industry, with a membership comprising of nearly 100 CEOs of well-known tourism enterprises. Its annual summit attracts the participation of global leaders, heads of tourism departments and senior managers of enterprises every year.
