On October 25th, the 2023 Tourism Hotel Industry High-quality Development Conference convened in Penglai District of Yantai City, Shandong Province. SUN Jiye, Vice-Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, graced the event with his presence and delivered a keynote speech. Key figures in attendance and delivering thematic addresses included LIU Shijun, the Vice Chair & Secretary-General of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), LIU Zhuohui from the International Academy for Quality, WEI Jigang, Deputy Director of the Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD), and WANG Jianping, the President of the Zhejiang Hotel Association and President of the Narada Group. The theme of the conference was elaborated upon by HE Zhuanglong, President of the Shandong Tourist Hotel Association (STHA), with CHEN Fujiao, Vice Chair & Secretary-General of the Hunan Tourist Hotel Association (HTHA), presiding over the assembly.
The conference, themed “Gather Momentum, Catalyze Change, Break Boundaries, and Share Creation,” was jointly hosted by tourist hotel associations from Shandong, Zhejiang, Hunan, Guangdong, and Hainan, and supported by tourist hotel associations and relevant institutions from 20 provinces and cities across the country, under guidance of the Department of Culture and Tourism and of Shandong Province and the People’s Government of Yantai. The agenda of the conference was filled with an opening ceremony and four parallel forums, including: 1. Digital and intelligent developments in the tourism hotel industry. 2. Market dynamics and upgrades in the existing hotel industry. 3. Integration of eco-friendly solutions, new health protocols, and technological advancements in the industry. 4. Innovative spatial designs and renovation in the industry. Over 1,300 participants from national and international hotel brands, hotel management companies, high-starred hotels, hotel suppliers, and academic institutions participated, making it a significant congregation of industry stakeholders.
