In his speech, ZHANG Xu acknowledged Shiyan City’s achievements in recent years under the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Government’s development strategy of "Hubei Tourism Seeks Breakthrough in Wudang". He highlighted the city’s successful use of the iconic assets of Wudang Mountain and Wudang Tai Chi. Guided by the principle of "ecology as the foundation, culture as the soul, tourism as the vehicle, and wellness as the core", the city has actively promoted the integrated development of culture, tourism, sports, wellness, and commerce. It has worked to establish the cultural tourism brand “Wudang — A Land of Blessings and Tai Chi”, continuously enhancing Wudang Mountain’s international influence. The WTA is committed to utilizing its platform to support the high-quality development of cultural tourism in Shiyan, aiming to attract more global visitors to explore Tai Chi and experience China through Wudang.

This year’s International Wudang Tai Chi Culture Festival, themed "Tai Chi Converges in Wudang and Connects the World", has introduced six major activity series. These cover a wide range of areas, including cultural performances, collaborative exchanges, industry matchmaking, and tourism promotion.
