On January 30, the World Tourism Alliance (WTA) hosted its 2026 New Year Reception at Temple Dongjingyuan in Beijing. The event welcomed nearly 200 attendees, including diplomatic envoys and tourism officials from nearly 20 countries, along with representatives from government agencies, WTA member organizations, the media, and businesses in the tourism sector. WTA Chair Mr. ZHANG Xu delivered the opening remarks, with Vice Chair & Secretary-General Mr. ZHENG Hao serving as host for the event.

Hangzhou, January 28 - ZHENG Hao, Vice Chair and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), met with senior executives from Universal Destinations & Experiences at the WTA headquarters today. The discussions with John McReynolds, Universal's Senior Vice President, and SHI Zhenchun, General Manager for the group's China unit, focused on global tourism trends and potential collaborative opportunities between the two organizations.

On the afternoon of January 5, the 42nd China Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival opened at Harbin Ice and Snow World. The opening ceremony was attended by XU Qin, Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee. LIANG Huiling, Governor of Heilongjiang Province; ZHENG Hao, WTA Vice Chair and Secretary-General; and Andrew Knack, Mayor of Edmonton, Canada, delivered speeches.
