Urumqi, March 22 – The 6th Spring Expo in Xinjiang opened in Urumqi, attracting a multitude of participants from both domestic and international tourism organizations.

The World Tourism Alliance (WTA) proudly announced the addition of 7 new members following approval at the 2nd WTA Council on March 21, 2025.

On January 17, the 2025 World Tourism Alliance (WTA) Annual Reception was held at the Beijing Genesis. The event brought together over 200 participants, including diplomatic envoys and tourism office representatives from nearly 30 countries, officials from relevant government departments, WTA members, media representatives, and tourism industry stakeholders.

On January 5, the 41st China Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival officially opened at Harbin Ice and Snow World, welcoming distinguished guests from across China and abroad to celebrate this spectacular winter event. Mr. XU Qin, Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress, announced the opening of the festival, while Ms. LIANG Huiling, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Heilongjiang Province, delivered a warm welcome speech.

On January 5, the Launching Ceremony of NIHAO! CHINA: China Ice & Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season 2025 and the Dream of Winter Global Promotional Campaign was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. The event was co-hosted by the Network of International Culturalink Entities and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province.

On December 19, the 2nd World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions Conference was grandly opened at the Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin City, China. Mr. XU Peng, Vice Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), was invited to attend the opening ceremony.

On December 18, 2024, the Trip.com Group Global Partner Summit was successfully held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

On December 13, 2024, the National Travel Agent Conference & Ganzhou Culture and Tourism Promotion Event was held in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province under the theme "Discover Ganzhou, Gather in Orange Township".

The "WTA·Xianghu Dialogue 2024" was held at the scenic city Sanya from October 30 to November 1. This marked the first time the leading platform for global tourism collaboration was held outside Hangzhou, making Sanya its inaugural international host city.
