On December 30, ZHENG Hao, Vice Chair and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), met with H.E. Ambassador SHI Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre. The two sides exchanged views on jointly organizing the 2026 China-ASEAN Tourism Dialogue, deepening tourism cooperation between China and ASEAN, and promoting high-quality development of regional tourism.

Haikou, December 22, 2025 – WTA Chair ZHANG Xu attended the 2025 Consultation Meeting of Hainan Provincial Expert Advisory Panel on High-Quality Tourism Development as a panel member. FENG Fei, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, addressed the meeting, which was presided over by Vice Governor XIE Jing.

The China International Travel Mart (CITM) 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, opened at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Haikou on December 19.

HARBIN, China, Dec. 16 — The "Global Tourism Economy Forum · Heilongjiang 2025" opened here today. The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. LIANG Huiling, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Heilongjiang Province. QUANZHOU, Dec. 11 — The 2025 Maritime Silk Road International Cultural Tourism Festival opened today. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Fujian Province, and hosted by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism together with the Quanzhou Municipal People's Government. Senior officials including LU Yingchuan, Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism and a member of the Party Leadership Group, and LI Xinghu, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Mr. ZHENG Hao, Vice Chair and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), was present at the launch.
