Recently, the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), in collaboration with its member Future Plus Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., launched the fifth season of the micro-documentary series "Better Tourism, Better Life, Better World". This season, focusing on tourism's role in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, was broadcast on the China Global Television Network (CGTN) website and app, as well as on social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, X, TikTok, and Weibo.

The 18th UN Tourism/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook opened on October 19 in Guilin, Guangxi. The event was attended by ZHOU Jiabin, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Congress Standing Committee, Secretary of CPC Guilin Municipal Committee; HU Fan, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Hae-Guk HWANG, Director of the Regional Department for Asia and the Pacific, UN Tourism; and Noor Ahmad HAMID, CEO of PATA, among others.

From October 10 to 13, after attending the 24th Global Summit of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Mr. ZHANG Xu, Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), led a delegation to Australia and Indonesia, aiming to strengthen tourism cooperation.

From October 8 to 9, Mr. ZHANG Xu, Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), attended the 24th Global Summit of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) in Perth, Australia, on invitation. During the summit, Mr. ZHANG engaged in discussions with leaders from tourism authorities, international tourism organizations, and executives in tourism industry on driving the development of global tourism.

The WTA • Xianghu Dialogue 2024 is scheduled to take place from October 29th to November 1st in Sanya, Hainan Province.

On September 27, the official celebration of WORLD TOURISM DAY 2024 took place in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. At the invitation of Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of the UN Tourism, Mr. LIU Shijun, WTA Vice Chair and Secretary-General, led the WTA delegation to participate in this event.

On September 27th, the 2024 Sichuan Culture and Tourism Development Conference & The 10th China (Sichuan) International Tourism Investment Conference opened in Ya'an.

On September 26, the opening ceremony of the 21ST China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition Area was held at the Guilin International Convention & Exhibition Center.

From September 13 to 16, the 2024 China Culture & Tourism Industries Exposition (2024 CTIE) was held in Tianjin, with Mr. ZHANG Xu, Chair of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), invited to the opening ceremony.

On September 10, the 14th Anhui International Culture and Tourism Festival opened in Hefei, with Liang Yanshun, CPC Committee Secretary of Anhui, delivering the opening speech and declaring the event officially launched.
