August 24th-26th, 2023 , World Tourism Alliance (WTA) HQ - Organized by the WTA Research Institute and co-hosted by ROCA Cultural Tourism, the "Destination (Inbound Tourism) Marketing Expert Seminar" was convened. Present at the seminar were Mr. LIU Shijun, Vice Chair & Secretary-General of WTA and WANG Kunxin, Chief Researcher of the WTA Research Institute, with the event chaired by Ms. Mika CUI, co-founder of Qyer and CEO of ROCA Cultural Tourism. During the seminar, 65 delegates attended, including representatives from the Department of Resource Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, representatives from cultural and tourism authorities of 21 provinces and cities, including Shanxi, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian and many more, together with members of WTA Secretariat.

August 14-19, 2023 - The 2023 "Discover China" Tours of Xinjiang for Diplomats in China was successfully held from August 14th to 19th. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the PRC and hosted by the Xinjiang Cultural and Tourism Department, the event saw representatives from the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), more than ten diplomats from nine countries, including Fiji, Mongolia, Seychelles, North Korea, Ecuador, the Philippines, Guyana, Mexico, and Tunisia, and leaders from the CTG Group. These participants deeply experienced the history, culture, and natural resources of Xinjiang destinations such as Urumqi, Turpan, Changji, and Kashgar, personally resonating with the well-known saying "Xinjiang is a Nice Place."

Cities,viewed as the cradle of civilization, are hubs of cultural heritage, lifestyle, and values, radiating hope and inspiration. To many, particularly the younger generation, cities not only serve as landmarks of work and life but also as sanctuaries that offer hope and enlightenment.

HANGZHOU, August 7, 2023 – Leading stakeholders from the Chinese hotel industry converged at the World Tourism Alliance (WTA) headquarters in Hangzhou to discuss pivotal developments and chart the future path for the sector. The Chinese Hotel Industry Development Symposium saw the attendance of illustrious figures, including LIU Shijun, Vice Chair and Secretary-General of the WTA, WANG Jianping, President of the Zhejiang Hotel Association, MA Jie, Deputy President and Secretary-General of the Shandong Tourist Hotel Association, CHEN Fujiao, Deputy President and Secretary-General of the Hunan Tourist Hotel Association, YANG Yanping, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Tourism Trade Association Hotel Branch, CHEN Qian, Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Hotel Association, and ZHU Wei, Secretary-General of the Suzhou City Tourist Hotel Association.
